Account Manager
• Cumbernauld • Hybrid (3 days office)
• Full Time • Up to £32k DOE
Summary
USAVE UTILITY CONTRACTS is a UK-wide Business Energy Consultancy and Procurement Specialist. We presently manage on behalf of our customers energy contracts in excess of £150m per annum. We aim to create and build solid long term professional relationships with our new and existing customers.
Our highly skilled team has over 50 years of combined experience in simplifying utilities - whether it be by reducing utility costs, through the streamlining of processes, eliminating wasteful usage or by assisting with dispute resolution with suppliers. We pride ourselves in offering all of our clients the very best of advice, customer service and care.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of clients
Procurement of energy and water contracts (fixed and flex)
Managing and procuring MOP / DA / DC contracts
Invoice validation & management of billing issues & queries on behalf of clients
Delivering all the clients administration needs
Prepare consumption, CCA, SECR, Flex & TCR analysis reports
Prepare templated monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as per the agreed workplan
Continuously evaluate and improve data analysis methodologies, tools, and processes
Stay informed about industry trends, policies, and attend relevant events and conferences
Monitoring the energy & water markets
Implementing power and gas hedging strategies
Reviewing and updating the moving average price charts
Run performance reports, interpret, and provide insight behind the numbers
Support directors in client and sales meetings
Present market overviews, trends, and project-specific information to stakeholders
Assist & develop opportunities to enhance system / software functionality, efficiency, and user experience
Assist with maintaining documentation - operating procedures & templates, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals
Skills and Experience Required
- Good knowledge of the UK Energy Industry, its operations across both power and gas
- Knowledge and experience in the implementation of Industry processes and contractual obligations
- Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build long term relationships with others (internal and external)
- Exceptional analytical skills: quickly digest and understand complex information
- Effective organisation skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage your own queries using inhouse systems
- An eye for detail, work quickly and accurately under pressure and manage high volume workflows
- Self-motivated with the skills to engage and inspire others
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Degree level education or equivalent industry experience

- Evidence of I.T. skills. Competent in Excel (intermediate to advanced level) and competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Experience of inputting data and using databases on a day-to-day basis
- Strong analytical skills are required to absorb complex information in relation to energy tariffs, the energy sector and the legislative requirements
- Good administration skills and attention to detail
- Degree level education or equivalent industry experience
